as far as I know the proper term is just social worker. There is
no difference made between "Sozialatbeiter" nnd "Sozialpädagoge" as we do
here in Germany. Frankly, when these folks finish their studies, they get mixed up in
their jobs...
btw., a i lawyer I do handle lots of mentally handicapped all day...
